Here's a list of upcoming films that include everything from live action to animation.
RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACOON CITY
Release date: November 24, 2021

The former Resident Evil films put a bad taste in the mouths of fans of the franchise. A reboot has been long overdue. The only questions are, how truthful to the source material will it be?
Visually, it looks close to the games but some fans are already torn over the casting of some of these popular characters such as Leon S. Kennedy who has been race swapped for the live action version. Johannes Roberts, who made The Strangers: Prey at Night and 47 Meters Down, is directing and writing.
UNCHARTED
Release date: February 18, 2022

Tom Holland will play a young Nathan Drake, and is being directed by Venom and Zombieland director, Ruben Fleischer. Mark Wahlberg is playing Sully. Initially when the film was announced back as far as 2010, it was rumoured that Wahlberg would play Drake in the lead role. The movie will be on Netflix, too. After a new deal giving Netflix exclusive rights to Sony's theatrical releases.
SONIC 2
Release date: April 8, 2022

Suicide Squad star Idris Elba has confirmed that he will be playing Knuckles the Echidna with returning cast Jim Carrey, and James Marsden as well as new addition yet to be revealed who will play Tails. Jeff Fowler also returns as director.
SUPER MARIO BROS.
Release date: December 21, 2022

Chris Pratt will voice Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy will play Peach, Charlie Day is Luigi, and Jack Black is Bowser. Keegan-Michael Key will play the vocal part of Toad, and Seth Rogan will voice Donkey Kong. Nintendo also promised Charles Martinet (the voice of Mario in the games) in a cameo. Let's wait & see how it fares to the original film released in 1993.
THE DIVISION
Release date: TBA, 2022

According to an update from Ubisoft in February 2021, the movie will head straight to Netflix. We're the Millers and Skyscraper director Rawson Marshall Thurber is at the helm, with Ellen Shanman as screenwriter. The post-viral, New York apocalypse film already has Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain signed up,
MINECRAFT: THE MOVIE

This has no need to exist and I won't comment further on it.
METAL GEAR SOLID
Release date: TBA

Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts is set to take on the Metal Gear film. Now his fans are regularly treated to shots of him hanging out with Hideo Kojima, and he's talked openly about wanting to do the story justice.
SPLINTER CELL
Release date: TBA

Interest in a live-action film was rumored as far back as 2004. The Splinter Cell movie has changed its creative team numerous times, but Tom Hardy is set to be the live-action Sam Fisher.
GHOST OF TSUSHIMA
Release date: TBA

Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions have recruited John Wick director Chad Stahelski to adapt the popular adventure game.
